Ick The Game
By Michael Slack

AUGUSTA, GA. - Your little monster will love this game that combines creepy, crawly, scary, hairy, icky and sticky in this race to gross out the most. "Ick: The Game," is effectively a card game for kids that works a lot like any of the point-gathering card games that kids play. But the masterful illustrations and lightening fast speed of the rounds will keep them occupied for hours.

Very basically, monsters must have a bunch of gross stuff to move into their houses, and the first player to gather all of that stuff (about 100 points) wins the a monster-eat-monster competition.

The story and the illustrations are the real fun. Your little monsters’ yucky friends have no sense of decorum. It engages all of the sounds, sights and smells that fascinate little kids, like toxic slime, used band-aids and there’s probably a booger involved somewhere.

There’s an element of the tactics and treason in the best strategy games, but being that cards are involved, the ultimate ally for each player is always going to be lady luck. But to the victor goes the spoils — or, in this case, the spoiled vegetables.
