AUGUSTA, GA. - Ever been to the moon? If you were given the opportunity to go, what would you listen to on the way? The answer is simple: Johanna Kunin’s “Clouds Electric.”

Never before have melodies and such soft-spoken lyrics been put together so beautifully that they can successfully make you feel like you are in outer space.

Kunin offers you the chance to go on a journey with her on her third and most recent release, “Clouds Electric,” which takes you to all the places you might not have thought you were going to go before.

"Boat Song" puts you the place of the deep ocean by yourself with only your thoughts to push you along the drifting waters. If you never thought you wanted to be in the ocean by yourself, with no land in sight, Kunin puts you there, gladly.

“Blueberry,” which is featured on her previous release, offers a distinct home within perfectly arranged piano hums and random lyrics strung together to make you feel as though tomorrow doesn't matter, just the here and now.

Kunin puts one in the mind of a peaceful Fiona Apple and a more careless New Buffalo. Her songs are more for the old-age hippie than the youth of today, but there is room for change, and Kunin definitely brings it.

Kunin hails from Seattle and has been making music since she was a young girl.

Produced by Tucker Martine, “Clouds Electric,” Kunins' debut full-length disc, has been widely reviewed as her best yet and promises her a successful career in moon travel music.
