AUGUSTA, GA - Athens-based folky bluegrass rockers the Corduroy Road kick off six well-crafted and catchy songs with their newest release, simply titled "EP."

Begun in 2006, the Georgia four-piece have quickly amazed audiences around the Southeast with their adherence to traditional bluegrass and folk yet with a feisty energetic feel that is pure Athens. Complete with their abundance of character, Corduroy Road has released a phenomenal album.

Every track on "EP" has an individual soul, fraught with meaning and emotion. A strong sound of bluegrass infuses each song, but no two sound alike.

The picking and catchy chorus on “Run Away” is just wonderfully fun. The one-of-a-kind opening bars to “1889 Johnstown PA” just soak into a person’s bones, forcing some toe-tapping. “So Blue” once again delivers the upbeat bluegrass-rock sound of the Corduroy Road with that traditional country storytelling ability. The moody “Desperate Man” and “Only the Living” are countered by the super-fast upbeat picking on “Temperature Raised.”

A mix of classic Kentucky bluegrass and good-time rock, the Corduroy Road pump out  infectious tunes on "EP" that are sure to wow audiences all across the South.
