Start August off the Right Way this Weekend

Once again, it’s an action packed summer weekend in Augusta, kicking off with some political significance. Expect a big, supportive turnout for First Friday. Get Down Downtown at Riverwalk’s Jessye Norman Amphitheatre will have some great concerts and fun vendors.

Double Take 4-9 p.m. (Opening Reception) Gallery on the Row www.galleryontherow.com The Clay Artists of the Southeast open their August show on Friday. Gallery on the Row will have the exhibit through the month of August.

Augusta Green Jackets vs. Charleston RiverDogs 7:05 p.m. www.greenjackets.net The Green Jackets welcome the RiverDogs for a series of 4 games at home, thank goodness. After getting killed in Rome, GA by the Braves, the Green Jackets are counting on getting their mojo back in Augusta.
